Dear friends and family,
On Tuesday, March 25th our beloved Leon was tragically caught in a senseless act of violence, a shooting that has left him fighting for his life and his future. This heartbreaking event has changed everything for Leon, who was a thriving self-employed individual, dedicated to his work, his community, and his loved ones. Now, as he begins a long and difficult road to recovery, we are reaching out to ask for your help.
Due to the severity of the injuries sustained, Leon is facing multiple surgeries, long hospital stays, and extensive rehabilitation. These medical expenses are mounting at an alarming rate, and unfortunately, because he is self-employed, he does not have the support of paid leave or health insurance to help cover these costs. Leon is the sole provider for his family, and with the ability to work temporarily halted, his daily living expenses and responsibilities are becoming a heavy burden.
The road to recovery will be long, filled with both physical and emotional challenges. But with the love and support of our community, we believe Leon can heal and rise above this tragedy. That’s where you come in.
We are asking for your generosity to help Leon cover his medical bills, living expenses, and other financial burdens that are accumulating during this incredibly difficult time. Your support, whether it’s through a donation or by sharing this campaign, will make a tremendous difference in Leon’s journey to recovery and provide him with the peace of mind he needs to focus on healing without the constant stress of financial instability.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward:
• Medical expenses: hospital bills, surgeries, therapies, medications, and ongoing care.
• Daily living expenses: rent, utilities, food, and transportation costs while Leon is unable to work.
• Rehabilitation and recovery: the costs associated with physical and emotional healing, including long-term therapy and support.
We know that these are challenging times for many, and we deeply appreciate any support you can offer. No donation is too small—every bit helps. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your network to help us reach as many kind-hearted people as possible.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting Leon during one of the hardest battles of his life. Together, we can help him recover and rebuild, and remind him that kindness and community can make all the difference.
With gratitude,
