This year my Father, Leonard Flippen, fell ill from valley fever. It took months just to find the sickness and after we did, his health and cognitive abilities rapidly decreased. He went from being fine, recovering, walking around the apartment, to now needing 24- hour care from professionals. His mental state has declined rapidly, sometimes he doesn't even know how to wash his hands. It is very important that I get the best possible care if we want to even get close to him being the same again. Both me and my father basically have nothing when it comes to income. The bills for the apartment have fallen on me to take care of. Anything helps at this point. I will need to be saving up as much as I can to help pay in home nurses and care-takers, even some neurologist specialist. The care he is receiving right now just isn't enough.
