Hey everyone! Leona Wilson-Moore has been diagnosed with cancer and has been in the hospital with 08/07/2025. She has endured trauma after trauma with her hospital stay. Her stay started with extruiciating stomach pain, as she was being prepped for an emergency appendectomy, her blood pressure dropped to an extreme low and her blood count started dropping and staff started preparing for a blood transfusion. Overnight the nurses backed off her fluid intake and she began to stabilize, they were able to follow thru with the appendectomy, however that lead the to possibility of cancerous spots in the colon. During emergency surgery, a biopsy was taken of the large intestine. While this was absolutly the worst wait of her life, she was given medications to clear a blockage she was also dealing with. The medications did not work, but rather made her sicker by vomiting. Once that medicine was cleared out of her system, they had her on pain management, Norco, to which the nurses overdosed her on. While attempting to get any substance in her stomach, she had an allergic reaction to the hospital food. She is now on an extremely tight diet. Liquids only with reactions to red dyes. As if she wasn't going through already, she was advised that unfortunately she did have colon cancer and a severely inflamed and blocked intestine. They are now removing parts of her large intestine to remove the blockage and attempt to reattach. Problem with that is, above the blockage is inflamed and the lower is compact as it has had nothing inside for a while. This may result in Leona having a colostomy bag for a time period. She is prepping for surgery tomorrow . Please keep her in your prayers.

Leona missed her son's graduation, both her grand-daughter's first day of school, she has missed countless work shifts as this woman works 2 and sometimes 3 jobs to support her family. She has no insurance and has applied for Emergency Medicare since she still has a child in the home. We have not heard anything back to date on the outcome of approval.

Leona has been without work since going to the ER 08/07/2025 and her soonest release date is 08/21/2025. She is the sole provider of her household with a daughter still at home. She is not able to pay her rent, bills, purchase groceries none of the things we all take for granted when we are healthy. She is not able to care for her child at this time. Her mother and sister-in-law, Karen, have not left her side since she was admitted.

Her hospital stay is roughly $4000/day, her rent is $1400, not to mention her bills that are now falling behind. She has a car note that she needs to keep current. Along with the many many bills that will be awaiting her upon her release and after care.

Our prayer is to raise $10,000 for her to continue to pay for her outside life, while she is in the hospital and then afterwards until she can get back on her feet.

This woman, has been through so much in her lifetime, let her be the one that is able to come out of this a miracle story.
