This is Leon Siewertsen. He is working on an H2A program in the US. I am his wife and am with him in the US on an H4 (spousal) visa (which does not allow me to work). On May 12, 2025, Leon had a second spontaneous pneumothorax. A CT scan showed a few blebs (small sacs of air) on the lungs. One of the blebs had burst, and that is what caused the pneumothorax. He had surgery a few days later to remove the blebs, and doctors hoped that the lung would seal, which did not happen.

Three weeks later, and Leon is still in the hospital waiting on a second surgery. Doctors are saying this is a rare case and hoping that the second surgery will work. While he is in the hospital and unable to work, thus without income, medical and monthly bills will be piling up. Never would we have thought that we would end up in a situation like this.
