My son Leomanni has been fighting chronic kidney disease and kidney dysplasia since before he was even born. From the very beginning, he has faced an uphill battle, with surgeries that haven’t always gone as planned and constant trips in and out of the hospital. The complications from his condition, like frequent UTIs, have made life even more challenging for him and for our family. On top of the physical challenges, Leomanni has dealt with so much trauma from his hospital experiences. Watching him go through so much at such a young age has been incredibly hard, and as a parent, I want nothing more than to see him healthy and happy. Leomanni is scheduled for another surgery on January 13th, and we’re hoping this will bring him closer to better health.
The financial strain has been overwhelming. Medical bills keep piling up, and I’ve spent so much on supplies that Leomanni needs every day. Diapers never seem to work properly for his vesicostomy, which means I’m constantly doing laundry at the laundromat, trying to keep him clean and comfortable. The special soap he needs is expensive, and finding the right clothing to help hold his diaper in place is another challenge—he can’t wear normal shorts or pants. On top of that, there are travel expenses for all the hospital visits, and I want to make sure he has the right gear and developmental items so he can play and grow like any other child. His daily care needs are constant, and his kidney issues require a proper diet, which gets expensive. It’s just getting tough to keep up with everything.
If you’re able to help, your support would go directly toward covering these costs and making life a little easier for Leomanni. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to giving him the care and comfort he deserves. Thank you for considering helping our family during this difficult time.
