We gather here today with heavy hearts to honor and remember someone whose presence was a light in all of our lives — Leo Lopez.

Leo was only 23 years old, far too young to leave this world. And yet, in those short years, he touched more lives than many do in a lifetime. He was a beloved son, a loyal friend, and a constant source of joy to everyone who had the blessing of knowing him.

Leo had a smile that could change the course of your day. No matter what he was going through, he carried himself with warmth and kindness that never went unnoticed. He was full of life, always laughing, always showing up for the people he cared about.

He looked up to his friends and family with admiration and love. And that love was returned tenfold. Whether it was time with his mother or a spontaneous gathering with friends, Leo lived for connection. He never needed the spotlight — just the company of people who mattered most to him.

Leo had dreams, plans, and so much potential. And while we didn’t get the time with him that we hoped for, we will hold onto the memories we made — the late-night talks, the inside jokes, the unwavering support he gave to each of us. He was always there. And now, it’s our turn to carry him with us — in our stories, our hearts, and the way we live our lives.
