Hello, dear friend. My name is Leo, and my fiancé is named Frankie. If you are reading this, you are someone that we are entrusting a piece of our future with.

These last few days have been a roller coaster of emotions; with the amount of uncertainty toward the safety of queer individuals in America right now, many of us are preparing for the worst.

Frankie and I have been engaged since 2021, and our original wedding date was set for January 14th, 2026 in Las Vegas. We are now concerned of what kind of rights we will have by then, and while we still hope to be able to make that trip, we have decided that the best course of action is to have a legal marriage ceremony before the year is over.

A local business has very generously offered to host us, and we want to make sure we are lifting the burden from them as much as possible. We are hoping to have it mid-late December. I set the goal for $1,000, but really we just want to have money for each of us to have something nice to wear, wedding bands, decorations, and to be able to pay for some kind of catering and give some money back to the business that is helping us. I don’t know what that amount will truly look like, as we are absolutely scrambling right now, but anything helps.

Frankie and I love each other more than words can truly describe. We are afraid, and we are uncertain about the world, but we are certain about each other.
