Support Lenny & Bonnie's Fight Against Glioblastoma

Dear friends, Lenny Muma and Bonnie LaFemina Muma, have been walking through the most difficult chapter of their lives.

On September 27th, 2024, Lenny suffered a sudden tonic-clonic seizure and collapsed at home in front of Bonnie. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered a tumor in his right temporal lobe. Just days later, he underwent brain surgery, and the pathology confirmed the devastating diagnosis: Glioblastoma Multiforme — an aggressive and incurable brain cancer. Lenny’s specific diagnosis — High Density Unmethylated Glioblastoma with EGFR mutation — is considered one of the most challenging forms of this disease.

Despite this life-altering news, Lenny and Bonnie faced the storm with incredible courage. He underwent weeks of chemotherapy and radiation, finishing treatment the day before their wedding. On December 3rd, 2024, they stood together, celebrating not just their marriage but the strength of their love and their commitment to facing whatever lay ahead.

Since then, Bonnie has been tireless in her fight for Lenny — researching, advocating, and seeking out the most effective treatments. In January 2025, Lenny began a clinical trial at Duke. But the journey has not been easy. A concerning MRI in June led to a Burr Hole Biopsy, confirming recurrence of the cancer. On July 21st, 2025, Lenny underwent a second brain surgery. Tragically, during the operation, he suffered a stroke, causing damage to the right temporal and occipital lobes. He is now living with partial blindness, a vision processing disorder, and other deficits — on top of the relentless fight against his cancer.

Through it all, Lenny and Bonnie have remained brave, devoted, and full of love. But the truth is, they cannot fight this battle alone. The financial burden of this disease is crushing. Glioblastoma is not only one of the most aggressive cancers to treat, but also one of the most expensive. Their home, their security, and their future are at risk as they pour everything into giving Lenny the best chance possible.

Lenny and Bonnie are the kind of people who show up for others without hesitation. Now, it’s our turn to show up for them. Please join me in supporting them however you can — whether through a donation, sharing this campaign, or sending prayers and encouragement. Every gift, no matter the size, helps ease their burden and reminds them that they are not alone in this fight.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read Lenny and Bonnie’s story. These two have poured so much love, kindness, and care into the lives of everyone around them. Now, as they face the most painful and uncertain battle of their lives, they need us to pour that love back into them. Your support — in whatever form it comes — is a gift that will help carry them through the days ahead. Please keep Lenny and Bonnie in your hearts and prayers, and know that your compassion means more than words could ever express.
