On Friday February 6, our sweet Lena was diagnosed with Leukemia. To say that this has shocked our family is an understatement. Lena is currently at Children’s hospital in St. Louis and is fighting this horrible disease with strength and courage.

No family is ever prepared to receive devastating news like this. In addition to the unimaginable emotional and mental anguish, Nora and Mike will also face overwhelming medical expenses, travel costs, and unpaid time away from work to be by Lena’s side.

The LaFata family has a long road ahead of them to Lena’s recovery. We have created this GoFundMe to ease the financial burden so that the LaFatas can focus on what matters most - being there for Lena and helping her beat this. Any amount that you can give is greatly appreciated.
