❤️ Lena Rose's backstory:

Just six short months old, and she has already been through so very much. Lena's story starts out with being rescued from a sweltering box truck, locked inside a crate while temperatures soared over 100°. Kind strangers heard her cries and saved her, giving her a second chance at life. She then was placed with a family friend, hoping to find comfort with their dog, but after an attack from their family dog, it was clear she couldn’t safely stay. That’s when my sister stepped in to give Lena the loving home she deserves.

❤️ Progress:

Lena has made remarkable progress, learning sit, stay, give paw, and “leave it,” and getting along with my sister’s larger dog, all of her cats, her kids, and other people she’s encountered. She stays calm in most situations. However, the household’s smaller dog has been detrimental, causing Lena to develop reactivity. Lena is not the aggressor. She just needs guidance and professional support to feel safe and confident.

❤️ About the Beneficiary:

My sister has spent many years fostering, boarding, adopting animals, and rehabilitating wildlife, but she has exhausted her own resources. Lena now needs professional training to fully overcome her fears and be ready for a forever home. After speaking with Dog Training Elite K 911, it's clear this is the next step to give her the best chance at success. They would like to work with her right away, but professional training like this costs $1,500-$2000. This is more than my sister can manage on her own.
