Support Leland's Top Surgery!

Hello! My name is Leland (stage name: CADENCE) and I am raising funds for my mastectomy (top surgery) procedure happening October 17, 2024. I am a trans man, and this surgery will help me feel and look like my true self.

After a long wait, I started hormone replacement therapy in February of 2024, and these changes have been very gender-affirming for me. I have also legally changed my gender marker to male and my name to Leland this year! The next step in my transition is this mastectomy! But given its cost, I am looking for monetary support from my friends, family, and community.

I currently use methods of binding and taping to help me feel gender euphoria, but they only go so far and can only help so much. I feel most like my authentic, true self when I have my chest taped, but I cannot do these things safely everyday due to the wear and tear on my skin and body. When I don't bind or tape, I feel extreme gender dysphoria--very uncomfortable and awkward in my own body. I am so excited for this procedure, knowing I will get to feel like myself in true gender euphoria every day going forward.
