Hi everyone!
My name is Leila Holland, and if you know me, you know that I live for the adventure of the unknown. Whether it’s shredding the snow or diving into a complex subject, I’ve always believed that the best way to grow is to step outside your comfort zone.
Today, I’m preparing for my biggest adventure yet: a semester abroad in Barcelona.
This fall, I have the life-changing opportunity to trade my local library for the historic streets of Barcelona, where I’ll be immersing myself in a new language, a vibrant culture, and a rigorous academic program through CIEE Study Abroad.
I will not only be using this opportunity to better myself, I will also be forging a path for future students at Phoenix High School where I attend. Phoenix High School does not have any options for students who want to expand their education through studying abroad. Raising my own funds is my only current option for making this alternative education possible.
But to get there, I need a little help turning this dream into a reality. I’m not just asking for a donation; I’m inviting you to be a direct part of a journey that will redefine my perspective, my career, and my future. Will you help me make this leap across the Atlantic?
This semester in Barcelona represents more than just a few months away. It is the start of a chapter defined by courage, curiosity, and global connection. The money I am raising will go towards my tuition, which is $18,500, and $1,500 for a plane ticket to get me there and back.
