Support Leighanne's Healing Journey

My name is Lacey and my sister Leighanne was found unresponsive on May 29th by her husband. At the time her lips were purple and when EMT's arrived they immediately started bagging her. They immediately put her on a ventilator at the hospital and she is currently in PICU. She has some swelling and fluid on her brain due to lack of oxygen, and right now no answers as to what caused this. Doctors are leaning more towards a bacterial/viral infection. She also has fluid on her lungs She had a CT scan yesterday and when they removed the ventilator she quit breathing. They did a spinal tap today and we will hopefully have some answers in the next day or so. I started this gofundme to help with expenses. Her husband hasn't left her side but will have to return to work next week. Leighanne is a lover of animals, her kids, grandkids, family, and will help anyone that she can. Right now she needs help because she is a painter and will be out of work for a long time. We are still in a gray area of knowing if she will have permanent brain damage and/or a full recovery.
