In August Leigh began experiencing frequent headaches. Being the brave, determined person she is, she tried to keep going, but the headaches didn’t stop. In October her PCP ordered an MRI, which revealed a tumor the size of a walnut at the base of her brain, pushing against her brainstem. While it is believed to be benign, its location makes removal complicated. Leigh has found an excellent surgeon and is scheduled for removal on January 20 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Recovery is uncertain, so we are asking our community to come together to support her.
