** 1/26/26 Update ** Wow, to say that Leigh is feeling the love is a massive understatement. Your support is lifting a weight off her shoulders (pun intended☺️) and helping her focus on healing (both physically and emotionally) from the incident.

After surpassing the goal in a little over a day, we have chosen to close this fundraiser to new donations, and make space for others that are hurting.

Thank you all again ❤️ You are incredible, inspirational and help keep hope alive during this time.

Hello Friends! Our lovely Leigh needs some support as her shoulder was fractured in multiple places this morning after the shooting in Southside Mpls (less than a mile from her home).

What Happened:

Leigh was helping her neighbors by offering medic support, hand warmers, food, etc. on the sidelines.

Shortly after arriving, her close friend was tackled to the ground by “you know who”.

Within seconds of seeing her friend pulled to the ground, she found herself being aggressively slammed to the ground as well.

As she was being held to the pavement, she was blinded by pepper spray directly in her eyes and mouth.

They then released her and she was brought to an alley by other neighbors who proceeded to flush her eyes repeatedly and get her to safety.

Following a visit to the ER, it was found that her shoulder had been fractured in multiple places.

What’s Next:

As of now Leigh will be out of work for weeks to months. She will be having an MRI this week to find out more know about any potential hardware to be placed or surgeries in her future.

How to Help:

Any donations will be used to help support her during her recovery and time off work for medical expenses, rent, food, etc.

She’s also taking tattoo requests/deposits and will be slowly working on art as she feels up to it.
