Support Leia's Journey to Health and Recovery

A few weeks ago Leia posted on her instagram that she was having some health complications again! My heart broke for her knowing how much she has been through and knowing she won't ask for the help she deserves. I reached out to her right away to see what was going on and this was her story.

Basically, I noticed a pain in my neck and figured it was just a pinched nerve or something. I have been getting the runaround from doctors for over three weeks now, and finally, when I demanded an MRI, I got the answers I was looking for

I have a Reversal of Cervical Lordosis at C5-C6 accompanied with Disc Extrusion (herniation) at C5-C6, along with Moderate Spinal Canal Narrowing at C5-C6.

I will need a procedure to fix it. Depending on what a specialist says, that will determine the kind of surgery I'll get on the herniated discs.

Then they had an incidental finding in the left parotid gland. There is a small mass (8 x 13 mm) in the superficial part of my left parotid gland. It's unclear what it is without further evaluation. It could be a benign cyst or cancer.

Basically, that will be the first tests I do when I come to LA tomorrow. The issues I've been facing are that my insurance is filed in the wrong county, so I have to go down to Los Angeles to start my care process, which has made this whole thing a lot more difficult and much more expensive. Flights, hotels, etc. I will go about switching my insurance to the correct county, but that will leave me without coverage for a month. So if I'm able to get funds, it will be easier for me to care in LA. Or in general, just as I'm not able to work until I figure out the final diagnosis of this.
