Some of you already know my story and some may not but Imagine being married, you and your wife have a baby boy and you sign the birth certificate only to find out almost 2 years later the child is not yours now you’re forced to pay child support for another man’s child. Well welcome to my world! I’ve been fighting one of the hardest battles of my life for the past 6 years. My Ex wife (wife at the time) had a baby boy and at almost 2yrs old I found out through a DNA test the child was not mine she cheated & lied. Not only was I betrayed but hurt at the same time to watch what I thought was my son be born, given my 1st & last name and had been raising a son that I thought was mine for almost 2 years to only find out later that he was not. To add fuel to the fire since I decided to divorce her and move on with my life because she cheated she took me for child support for a child that is not mine. She was granted child support & arrears. Then recently decided to have the case re-opened to modify the child support to request more money. In Maryland if a baby is born into a marriage and you sign the birth certificate you are deemed the father regardless. I have been back & forth to court fighting my case for the last few years to disestablish paternity and get this overturned. I have spent thousands & thousands of dollars in legal fees but now I’m depleted. I now have one of the best lawyers on the case who can get this overturned and disestablish paternity for me so I can get some peace in my life and finally move on from this but unfortunately I don’t have enough funds to finish the case so I am asking for your help & support to give anything that you may have to help go towards my legal fees.
