Dear, Friends, Family, and Community,

My name is Marina and I am reaching out on behalf of Lee Bullitt, my close friend and a dear friend to so many in our community. Lee recently suffered from a stroke in their apartment in San Francisco. Fortunately, Hannah, their friend and housemate found them and called 911. They were brought to San Francisco General Hospital where they are currently admitted. There is a chance brain surgery will be needed to relieve swelling. Lee's family is flying in from New York asap to be with them in the hospital.

Lee currently works as a freelance video editor, and while they love the freedom this provides, it's going to make things tough while they're out of work. Lee unfortunately doesn't currently have health insurance so the medical bills will be a huge out of pocket expense. (Who expects something like this to happen at age 35?) We need all the help we can get to raise funds to support Lee's healing journey.

We are starting this GoFundMe campaign to help alleviate the financial burden on Lee so they can focus on healing.

Your donation will go toward hospital bills, ongoing medical bills, rehabilitation care, and other life expenses.

We all know and love Lee's incredible mind, their curiosity, and the way they love to connect with other humans on such a deep level. Maybe you've seen their photography or read some of their writing, so you know that Lee is always seeking something deeper in this messy human experience. I've been inspired by Lee's mission to live mindfully and healthfully and to not give in to the darkness that we all face sometimes. Please support Lee during this time.
