On October 13th, my husband Lee was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer that has metastasized. Just days before, on October 10th, he was still working—despite not feeling well. He initially thought his symptoms were related to back pain and had X-rays done, but nothing showed up at that time. We had no idea how serious things were until the diagnosis came, and it has been a whirlwind since.
Now, Lee is undergoing treatment, and as his caregiver, I am unable to work. The burden of medical co-pays, insurance fees, and everyday living expenses is overwhelming, and we're struggling to keep up with bills. We were both working and making ends meet before, but now, with Lee unable to work and me at home taking care of him, we're facing financial hardships we never imagined.
We’ve been staying positive and hopeful, and we're praying for the best. But it has come to a point where we need to ask for help. We're not usually the type to reach out for assistance, but we’re doing so now because we need support to get through this incredibly difficult time.
If you're able to help, we would be forever grateful. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a big difference in helping us cover medical expenses, daily living costs, and treatment-related fees. Even if you're unable to donate, sharing this with others would mean the world to us.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and for any support you’re able to offer. Your kindness means more than words can express.
