My name is Lee, and I’m a 23-year-old nonbinary trans person seeking top surgery this coming December (it was moved up!). After doing everything I can physically to feel comfortable in my body, I’ve realized that this procedure is the next necessary step in my journey.

I’m reaching out to my community for support during this important but challenging time. While I’m incredibly grateful to be moving forward with this surgery, the financial burden is overwhelming. The costs of the procedure itself, combined with post-op care, medications, and basic living expenses during recovery, add up quickly. Since I won’t be able to work for several weeks while I heal, I need help covering:

    •    Surgery costs (insurance will cover a portion, but not all)

    •    Medications and necessary medical supplies

    •    Post-op appointments

    •    Basic living expenses while I’m unable to work
