It is with great sadness that we report that one of our volunteer fire fighters, Lee McElroy, lost his home on Twin Churches Road in Talladega County to a fire early Thursday morning in the midst of the snowstorm. At this time we want to reach out to the community to ask for assistance for Lee and his family as they begin to pick up the pieces from this terrible tragedy. Lee has been a valuable member of the IVFD for several years and has gladly volunteered his time and put considerable effort into to making our department the best it can be. In this time of great need, we ask that if you or your organization can assist Lee and his family in any way, it will be greatly appreciated by them and the IVFD family. Let's step up now as a community to help someone who has given so much to help our community in the past.
