Dear Friends of Heather, Lee, and Hollis,
This is Aimee and Kristen, and we're lifelong friends of Heather from Baton Rouge, LA. Even though Heather grew up in Baton Rouge, she considers North Carolina her home, as she has been there for over 20 years. We are reaching out to you for support for Heather, Lee, and Hollis.
We're sure that you, just like us, are hard-pressed to know someone who doesn’t have a story about Lee or Heather that doesn’t mention their generosity and kindness, and the selfless acts they have done that change lives and let us know the genuine kindness of others. Their giving spirit gives comfort, safety, and rest to anyone they encounter and embodies “giving you the shirt off their back.” Now is the time to repay every ounce of love they have shown to all of us in their time of need due to the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
Lee, Heather, and Hollis (7) had to evacuate to higher ground in the dark, through the mud, and in the rain, wearing bike helmets to protect themselves from falling trees as the floodwaters rushed into their neighborhood. Due to the storm, they are in great need, so please give what you can to support them.
In true form, Heather remains steadfast and grateful after the traumatic experience of fleeing a flash flood. She told us they had encountered miracle after miracle and needed every good intention to get through this. But we know they are resilient due to so many good graces, and they will overcome this setback with our support!
Your financial support will provide the family help to pay for all the unexpected financial setbacks that the flood has put on Heather and Lee's lives. Every ounce of support is highly appreciated, and no gift is too small to help this amazing family!
