Ledger rang the bell in September beating PH+ B-cell ALL (leukemia) after a hard fought 2 year+ battle. He struggled with low counts after treatment, so he kept his port to receive immunotherapy for 6 months. His port was removed on March 12th. Ledger finally went back to school on March 23rd, and he was playing pitcher on his 6U baseball team, and he was loving every single second of normalcy. On Tuesday, April 24th, Ledger relapsed…. He will now undergo two months of induction chemo in hopes for remission to bridge to a bone marrow transplant. We are praying for a strong sibling match. The next 6 months will be spent mostly in the hospital or close by in an air bnb or hotel. Our hearts are broken and this is so unfair. We are so thankful for our community and so many people who support us where we can support our strong boy. Our Super Ledger hasn’t gotten much of a break to be normal Ledger and now we are asking him to be extra Super again……
