Lea never imagined she would have to face another catastrophic medical event after her emergency liver transplant at 22. Now, at 42, she is fighting lymphoma, and her journey has been incredibly difficult for her family. Lea is happily married to her husband, and together they have an almost four-year-old boy who is the heart of everything they do and her main reason for fighting again. As a proud Whitthorne Tiger, Lea teaches 5th grade and co-leads the youth Sunday School class at her church, where her deep-rooted Christian beliefs inspire those around her. Her favorite bible verse, 2 Corinthians 5:7, reminds her to walk by faith, not by sight.
Lea’s cancer diagnosis has been made even more complicated because she was already immunocompromised. Since October 30, 2025, she has been hospitalized six times, with five of those being unplanned. Each time, her husband has had to single parent while working full time, and their young son has had an absent mommy for over 35 days. The emotional and financial strain on their family has been immense, and they are in need of support from their community.
Funds raised will help pay bills, cover doctor bills, and provide for anything else Lea’s family needs during this challenging time. Please share and support Lea and her family as they navigate this difficult journey. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference in their lives.
