For some time, our dear friend Leanne has struggled with a cough and other symptoms that just wouldn't go away. Unfortunately, when her symptoms became so severe that she stopped working, she lost her insurance. Sadly, on Monday, March 30th of this year, Leanne was diagnosed with invasive adenocarcinoma. A week later she made the difficult decision to pursue treatment and was immediately admitted to the hospital. We are very hopeful her dramatic change in circumstances will make her eligible for disability insurance. Either way, there will no doubt be unexpected and likely overwhelming expenses associated with this tragic illness. Leanne has a heart bigger than this post can describe and her faith in the face of this trial has been truly inspiring (Luke 18:27, Revelation 21:4). Given the impact she's had on all of us, we knew her friends and family would want to be aware of the situation and have the opportunity to help if their heart moves them to do so.
