This fundraiser is for one of my dearest and closest friends — Leanna Turman Gale.

Leanna has been a crucial part of the Deaf Community and an amazing Deaf Educator and advocate for many years. Leanna has a gift for teaching, showing compassion, sharing stories, and making people laugh. Anyone who has been blessed to interact with her has been influenced for good. Students love her, parents adore her, colleagues respect her, and those who know her love her.

Unfortunately, Leanna has had some recent health issues that required her to have an extremely sensitive and painful surgery. This surgery has had a significant impact on her body and on her finances.

Funds raised here will primarily go towards remaining medical costs with some funds going towards wages lost (from her 2nd job) while recovering from surgery. Funds may also be used for needed items such as specific meals, medical devices and items that aid in recovery, and other necessities.
