Support Leann Norton’s Fight Against a Rare Brain Tumor
This GoFundMe was created for a woman who means the world to us—Leann Norton. She’s a devoted mother, a natural caregiver, and a true fighter. At just 46 years old, Leann is now facing her second battle with a brain tumor—a challenge no one should have to endure once, let alone twice.
Leann was first diagnosed in 2008 and bravely overcame that diagnosis with incredible resilience. Throughout her life, she’s faced health challenges and hardship, yet never stopped showing up for those she loves. When her own mother became ill with cancer years ago, Leann stepped in as her primary caregiver—attending to her needs with unwavering compassion, strength, and grace, until the very end.
Now, Leann is the one who needs care and support.
She has recently been diagnosed with a rare and complex brain tumor called Falcotentorial Meningioma. Located deep within the brain near vital blood vessels and nerves, this tumor requires 30 rounds of radiation therapy at the Prisma Health Cancer Institute—five days a week for six weeks. Each visit involves a 60-mile round trip from her home and a $115 co-pay, not including fuel and travel costs.
To receive treatment, Leann will be taking a three-month medical leave from work, which means she’ll be without an income during that time. Her son Barry will also be taking time off from his job to help care for her and get her safely to and from her treatments. Her daughter Autumn, who lives in Alaska, continues to support her from afar.
