Support LeAnn and Ken: Overcoming a Stroke

My name is Mexa (Meeka) and this fundraiser is on behalf of my aunt LeAnn and uncle Ken Lee. Shortly following their 24th anniversary, Ken suffered a stroke on the evening of July 24th. This will be to help cover the rent on the house while they wait for his short-term disability to kick in and out-of-pocket costs. She has barely left his side during this time. Below will be updates on Ken in LeAnn's words as I am at a distance disadvantage.

Update #1 July 26th:
"He did not require surgical intervention as the clot is too deep into his brain. He is still lightly sedated. He is following simple commands and attempts to speak. Please continue with all the prayers. He definitely needs them."
Update #2 July 28th:
"He is currently intubated but remains stable. He is showing less movement on his right side at this time and does not follow simple commands. Please keep all the prayers and love coming this way."
Update #3 July 30th:
"He is slowly being weaned off the ventilator. He is not responding as much today as he has been. Sedation has been greatly reduced. Edit: His blood pressure keeps dropping."
Update #4 July 30th:
"He is off the ventilator and breathing on his own. He now needs to be weaned completely off the sedation and follow verbal commands.
Thank you all so much for all the prayers, good vibes, and well wishes. Keep 'em coming! ❤️❤️❤️❤️"
Update #5 August 1st:
"He is off sedatives now. He is more alert and sometimes follows commands. He is still breathing on his own. He still has a nasogastric tube for medications, fluids, and nourishment. Please pray that he becomes able to always follow commands and becomes able to eat safely."
Update #6 August 4th:
"He is out of ICU and on the stroke unit. He is set to have a feeding tube placed tomorrow afternoon. He is more alert, and attempting to speak more often. He does have a speech deficit, but I have seen improvement daily. Other deficits are still unknown.
Please keep those payers coming!"
Update #7 August 6th:
"It hasn't been the best day. He has been lethargic since the feeding tube placement. He did work with speech therapy this morning and can have ice chips. Once he becomes more alert, they will do a swallow study. PT and OT also stopped by, but he just couldn't participate much due to the lethargy.
Baby steps. Please, keep those prayers coming. #IjustwantmyKenback"
