Support Leah's Living, Breathing Testimony
Donation protected
Last week my sister Leah was diagnosed with Breast Cancer for a second time. We are asking you to consider helping us send Leah to Hope 4 Cancer in Mexico for treatment. The treatment costs between $40,000-$60,000. Please consider helping support our family during this difficult time. If you'd like to learn more about the treatment she will undergo please check out https://hope4cancer.com - Micah
A note from Leah's Mom:
"As a mom walking through cancer with your child comes with so many emotions. When Leah was healed from her battle with cancer the last time she always said she was thankful for that struggle because she saw how God used it for good in so many areas. Although we hate to see her going through this again we know God still has a perfect plan for her life. I believe through her journey others will find comfort from her story. We want to take all the burden off her and her family and come together to love and support them through prayer and financial support to go to Hope for Cancer as Leah will have to spend the year healing and will not be able to work. We appreciate any amount you could give."
Here is a note from Leah:
"My name is Leah. I am a mother, daughter, wife, sister, aunt, and lover of Jesus. In 2018 at age 32 I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. I went through chemo, radiation, long term hormone therapy, double masectomy, and many reconstructive surgeries. From the very start of treatment, I always said if cancer returned, I would go to hope for cancer in Mexico. Around six months ago I started having pain in my hip. I put it off just assuming it was an injury. Unfortunately after a PET scan, it is confirmed to be a recurrence of breast cancer. A spot on my liver was also detected, as well as a swollen lymph node near my lung. Through the grace of God, I have an unbelievable peace, and I believe I am a living breathing testimony. That being said, I have gone through this whole process, and I am going to take a different approach. I am still going to follow instruction from my oncologist, but I also want an approach that gets to the root cause and treats the body, mind, and spirit. I am going to be starting treatment here, and my goal is to start treatment at hope for cancer in Mexico around January. It is a three week treatment plan with two follow up trips, and monitoring through the year. Some treatments they offer are sono-photo dynamic therapy, bio immunotherapy, hyperthermia, IV therapies, and so much more. My goal is to put a different face and perspective to cancer. I don't want to say, " have cancer," but "I am healing." It is not easy or comfortable asking for financial support. If you have it on your heart to donate, me and my family appreciate it beyond what I could even verbalize. Also, please keep my husband and kids in your prayers. Never would I think that I would have joy through this scary journey, but I do, and i am excited to share my journey with you guys! God never promised an easy life, but he does provide a peace that makes no sense and an incredible hope for the future."
