Support Leah's Journey to a Healthy Heart
Donation protected
Lovely Leah, a beautifully spirited young 5-year-old girl from Costa Rica, was born with Down Syndrome and has two holes in her heart that will not close. As many of us know and have experienced at birth, a hole in the heart is standard. Generally, this hole closes up within 18 months, but surgery is needed if it has yet to close by three years of age. As we have no medical experience and wish to refrain from playing the experts, if you would like to learn more about her condition, we have provided a few helpful links below.
Because of timing restraints, Leah’s doctors in Costa Rica are referring her to a hospital in Spain so she can get special attention and an emergency medical procedure done in the first week of July. Leah’s young parents are trying to raise $40K for part of the surgery and are reaching out for help.
In support of Leah’s parents and family, who are all very concerned about her condition, even the smallest of donations can help them reach their goal and positively impact the life of this brilliant young child. Thank you in advance for your generosity and contribution.
