My sister Leah has been one of my heroes for as long as I can remember. Her strength, resilience, and ability to keep going—no matter what life throws at her—are beyond inspiring.

From a very young age, Leah has endured more trauma than most people face in a lifetime. She survived severe childhood abuse, the devastating loss of our family, the tragic death of her husband, and an abusive relationship that left her hospitalized—twice. And yet, every single time, she found a way to stand back up and keep moving forward.

Leah is the kind of person who always puts others first. She carries her pain quietly while showing up with love, compassion, and strength for everyone around her.

A few years ago, she believed she had finally found a safe and loving partnership. But after marriage, everything changed. Her husband became increasingly abusive—there were threats, alcohol-fueled violence, reckless behavior with guns, and repeated promises that things would improve. They never did.

Recently, the situation escalated. During another episode of abuse, Leah defended herself and called the police. Instead of protecting her, she was arrested.

That moment changed everything.

Leah made the incredibly brave decision to leave. She walked away from her home, her farm, her animals—her entire life—with nothing but her car and a bag of clothes.

Now, she’s starting over from scratch.

She urgently needs support to cover legal fees to fight this unjust arrest, file for divorce, and rebuild her life somewhere safe.
