Hi, my name is Leah and I am attempting to help my daughter, son, and her roommate keep their apartment. She was recently discriminated against by an employer because she is gay, so she and her friend lost their jobs. She took on another position which has yet to pay her for her time worked, so she is currently seeking employment. She had an interview today in which she walked an hour, one way, for. They have no transportation, so everyone tries to work within walking distance. One of their roommates bailed over the weekend, so meeting their rent goal has been made taxing. The rent per person shift has put them in a pinch. They have attempted an agency where they live but won't be seen until the end of the month. My daughter is an honors student in college. She moved off campus to alleviate some of the stress she was feeling with on-campus life. Any help is helpful. I am unable to help, for I lost my job last month and am currently seeking employment. I wish I could make it all go away for them, but I'm in no position to do so.
