Hi everyone, my name is Ama and if you know me, then you know my dog Lambchop, LC for short, and how she is my entire world. On New Year's Eve, LC went into congestive heart failure and was hospitalized. While at the ER, we were informed that she has a maximum of one year left to live. On one hand, I'm very thankful that there is time to love on and celebrate her while she's here, but on the other hand, I am devastated. LC came into my life during a very difficult period and helped me out of my depressive state and into a place of stability. She truly excels at her job as an emotional support animal.

I am so sad that she doesn't get to live to 16 the way I wanted her to, but I am determined for this to be the best last year of her life. LC unfortunately has a very unsupportive pet insurance that refuses to cover anything related to her heart. As a result, I've been hit with a nearly $5,000 hospital charge on my credit card that I literally cannot afford, so I am going to be spending this year raising money and asking for donations to help pay her vet bills. I will be selling cakes and pastries to help fundraise and will be also auctioning off items and services that my talented friends have graciously donated.

As I work on setting up the addiitional fundraising, I wanted to at the very least launch this GoFundMe. Any donation or share is deeply appreciated. As always, I am thankful for my community of people and for the abundance of love LC has received in the five years that I've had her.
