We recently learned Layla has a huge mass in her abdomen. It's about the size of a small dodgeball. We went to an ultrasound specialist to find out where it's attached; the x-rays made it unclear, and unfortunately, the specialist couldn't tell us either. Basically, it's one of three things: best case, it's attached to her spleen and a fairly easy removal. Another scenario, a bit worse, is it's attached to her liver, and it's more invasive and worrisome, being a major organ and likely needing a blood transfusion. Worst case scenario is being attached to her main veins/nerves going to all those organs, and it's not removable. Essentially just waiting for the reaper's clock. The price ranges from $4,700-$8,200. That's just the surgery, not the couple thousand spent already on consultations/specialists.
If you're in any ability to donate to Layla, it'd be appreciated.
