I feel like God is calling me to go to Youth With A Mission in my next season as I graduate from high school. One of the reasons I’m excited about this opportunity is the chance to be in a community where the Lord’s presence is so intense, and I can deepen my relationship with Him. Another reason is the desire to meet and be surrounded by peers who want to seek after God passionately and are there to help build one another up to further the Kingdom of God!

I’m unsure where or when God calls me, especially since I’m unlikely to attend college. But I trust He will give me clarity during my time at YWAM or bring people into my life with a word for me. I also want to learn how to evangelize and be obedient to what God says in Scripture, specifically in Matthew 28:19-20, where Jesus calls us to make disciples of all nations.

I’m particularly drawn to the Adventure DTS in Australia because it combines my love for outdoor activities like surfing, hiking, and mountain biking. I love adventure—its spontaneity and physical challenges—and I feel like this would be a great way to grow in both my faith and my ability to share the Gospel.

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is a 5-—to 6-month program. Participants spend three months training in Australia and two months practicing their evangelism skills in another country, such as South Vietnam or Somalia.
