Hi there, let me introduce you to Layla. She's a Russian Blue girl who was given away by a family in the Bronx. Currently, she is being fostered and cared for by a low income Brooklynite.
We visited the vet this past October 22, and unfortunately, the prognosis is not great. We are raising funds to support her journey to health.
Here are a few key points we can share about her health situation (this will be updated as soon as we keep moving with her treatment):
- She needs a tooth removal; one of her canines is broken and it's exposing the gums. This is a priority.
- She needs to get X-rays to identify if the mammalian lumps she has are malignant (aka cancer) and if they're spreading to other organs.
- After the results, we will have a better picture of her situation, but the recommendation is to try to remove those lumps (aka surgery) to avoid any future medical condition.
- That being said, all this process will require after-treatment and medication.
For a better understanding, please look at the picture with the email from the vet and the summary of her vet visit.
For all of these reasons, we are relying on you to get support and have the opportunity to support Layla's health care.
Please, share if you can! ~any little bit counts~
Thanks a lot in advance.
