Support Layla's Healing Journey Together

On September 25th, my incredible friend Layla was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in Atlanta while on a trip for a research conference. She was hospitalized for a number of injuries including bleeds in her brain, concussion, a broken jaw, missing teeth, lacerations, etc. Luckily, her boyfriend, Christian was able to fly out to take amazing care for her.

Both Christian and Layla are students in their prospective fields in science conducting groundbreaking research. They are both very independent and have always made ends meet on their own.

With that being said, it was impossible for them to be prepared for such a traumatic event. It'll be a long recovery for Layla and she will need funds for remaining procedures, time off work, expenses from traveling and the list goes on. We're reaching out to our community for support for people who give so much back to others.
