Hello, this is Layla's wife.

We are looking for help from our community,family, and friends as we embark on a very huge journey. We have been mainly silent these last few months as we have been navigating health issues. As many people that personally know us know, Layla has dealt with varies health issues throughout the years. This year is no different as we have gotten some bad news about her health. August 28th she is set to have a double mastectomy. This will be a lot not only for her but for our little family. We have a very rambunctious almost 3 year old and a 12 year old who is homeschooled and has autism. Not only do I have to make sure our children are taken care of, but I'm also a teacher to our daughter and a caretaker for my wife. All while dealing with my own personal mental and physical health issues.

Layla is a previous cancer survivor who has stayed strong through it all. Right now chemo and radiation is not certain, but will update everyone in the days to come. She's been quietly maneuvering from test to test as she gets the answers she needs. After finding she will be having a double mastectomy at the end of the month it hasn't been easy for her. Her mental health has certainly taken a toll. She already deals with PTSD and persistent depressive disorder but now she has this to deal with. She's now processing all the information that has been dealt to her.

I've tried to be there for her the best I can while also making sure our children are ok. Obviously work isn't an option as my hands are full right now and has been for the last few years.
