As many of you know, my 19-year-old daughter Layla recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Nova. She’s a young mom doing her best to find her footing. Unfortunately, while she was still in the hospital, she learned she had lost her job. River Church Academy, where she worked, shut down suddenly. She’s still waiting on a final paycheck and has no idea when—or even if—she’ll receive it.

Now she’s facing the challenges of having no income, needing to find a new job, and trying to secure daycare—something that wouldn’t have been an issue before, since her job was her childcare.
