Every Little Help

My name is Sabi Shrestha presently residing in a rented flat in Rusholme in the United Kingdom with my 3-year-old daughter and a 37-year-old caring husband, Laxman Shrestha, who has an underlying health condition cropped up due to complete failure of his both Kidneys. My husband, the only working person in the household worked hard for the last 2 year i.e. until he has been diagnosed with kidney failure. He worked as a Chef in one of the restaurants in Manchester with meagre earnings that just helped to meet the household cost of living.

We came to the United Kingdom from Nepal under the scheme of work/dependent visa 2 year ago and our permission to live in the UK is running out in September,2026. While we were dreaming to settle with my husband’s little earnings, in the next few years, renew visas before expiry, my husband is not fit to work and undergoing dialysis 3 days a week in Manchester Royal Infirmary for 4 months now. In one-to-one consultation, the medical consultant was kind enough to advise us that the dialysis to be continued without fail until the availability of suitable kidney donor and transplant, likewise. The waiting time for this to happen is uncertain and cannot approach for the renewal of our visas until proven that he is fit to work. Besides, looking after the young daughter, I have now additional commitment to escort my husband to hospital for his routine dialysis and make sure that his appointment is not missed.

Because we are not entitled for the government benefit and there is no other means of income at all, the degree of our financial struggle to pay house rent, utility bill and buying daily food commodities is piling up day by day making the unpleasant situation worse and no relatives to depend on; I have now arrived to such a compelling situation to raise a voice before you all in diaspora to look upon our current circumstances and support us by donating/sharing and raising fund through GoFundMe to overcome our ongoing hardships.
