Help Honor the Life of Lawrence Martinez

With heavy hearts, we share that Lawrence Martinez, just 23 years old, passed away on Thursday, October 9th, during what was supposed to be the next chapter of his recovery journey.

Back in July, Lawrence suffered a traumatic neck injury that resulted in a broken neck. He spent months in the ICU, enduring four major surgeries—each one testing his strength in ways most could never imagine. Yet through every obstacle, Lawrence never lost his fight or his faith. His determination was unmatched, and his spirit unbreakable.

He even made it to rehabilitation, a moment that gave all of us so much hope. He was pushing forward, determined to reclaim his life and independence. Lawrence showed us what true courage looked like.

For anyone who had the blessing of knowing him, you know that Lawrence was the kind of person who lit up every room he walked into. He had the biggest heart, the warmest smile, and a way of making everyone feel seen, loved, and understood. He was funny, loyal, and full of life—a son, brother, and friend who touched countless hearts.

As we come to terms with this unimaginable loss, we are raising funds to help his family cover funeral and memorial expenses, as well as the financial challenges that built up throughout his months of recovery.

Lawrence gave so much love to everyone around him—it’s our turn to give that love back. Every donation, no matter how small, will help his family find peace and focus on celebrating the beautiful soul he was.
