Hello, my name is Lavetta Lemelle, and I am currently living with Stage 5 kidney failure, also known as end-stage renal disease. This journey has been physically, emotionally, and financially overwhelming, but I am holding on to hope. A kidney transplant is not just a medical procedure for me—it is my chance at life, stability, and a future with my loved ones.

As I prepare for the possibility of a kidney transplant, I am facing significant medical expenses, including transplant-related costs, ongoing treatments, medications, travel, and recovery care. Unfortunately, many of these costs are not fully covered, and the financial burden has become more than I can manage alone.
