Hi everyone! My name is Lavender (also known as Norah), and I'm a 23 year old trans woman raising money for my gender transition. Here's a little bit about my story, and why I'm raising funds:
I was born in Clearwater, Florida and have since relocated up North for college and work. I’ve known that I was transgender for three years. In 2018 I made the decision to pursue the legal recognition that I am female and the aesthetic appearance of a woman.
I am aiming to raise $60,000 by August 2021 in order to offset transition-related costs, such as therapy sessions, affirming clothing, medication, and surgeries. The estimated costs for this transition are listed below.
To many, transitioning does not seem like a necessity. However, a medical transition is one of the many ways that trans women are able to find relief from debilitating gender dysphoria, and it is the path that I’ve decided to pursue.
