Support Laury and Donna's Healing Journey
Donation protected
On Easter Sunday morning, our dear friends Laury Greening and Donna Macomber were out on their daily walk when a car jumped the sidewalk and violently hit them both. Donna was thrown several feet by the impact, and Laury was pinned against a stone wall by the vehicle.
Between Laury and Donna, there are 3 broken legs, a fractured pelvis, lots of bruising, and soft tissue injury. After 3 days at Brattleboro Memorial, they are now at Grace Cottage in Townshend for extended care and rehab. They are both expected to make a full recovery, but it will take significant time.
Because both partners are immobile, they will need continued support and care once they get home. We are asking friends, family, and neighbors to help raise $25,000 for in-home caregiving and loss of income.
As Donna says, “We are both in touch daily with our loved ones and know deeply that our community will directly impact our healing process. For that, we know how fortunate we are in all the ways that truly matter.” Please help us reach our goal for these two beloved community members.
Thank you,
Julie Cunningham
