Hi everyone, my name is Sara and I'm creating this GoFundMe page for a woman in our community named Lauri Gutmann. She is a single mom who is battling breast cancer, with little to no help and/or support system.

In late July she was diagnosed, and in mid August she underwent a double mastectomy. There's a possibly she may face another surgery soon to remove even more lymph nodes. Lauri was unable to file for short-term disability because she had her surgery just shy of working at her current company for one year. She is working with a social worker to help her, but unfortunately, rent assistance is not included in the help she is receiving. Lauri worked up to the very day of her surgery and hopes to return in a couple of months (or as soon as possible), but the time that she will be able to go back is very uncertain. She worries about being able to pay her rent to keep her apartment for her and her son Griffin. Not only is the stress of battling cancer taking a toll, but the fear of a possible eviction is overwhelming.

I'm hoping to raise enough money to cover 4 months of rent for Lauri and Griff! If you feel compelled at all to donate, no amount is too little, and I know that she and Griffin would be forever grateful.
