I have known and loved Laurin McGee since 1985. It was the music of Heart that brought us together, and over the years, our friendship has only grown stronger. Through the years, the love of music has always been shared between us. We have a special musical connection that I treasure with all of my heart. Laurin is an incredibly talented musician—her saxophone and guitar playing are truly something special. She is one of those rare people who gets to do what she loves for a living, and she pours her heart into everything she does. Laurin is also a deeply caring friend, always there for the people she loves, and she is loved just as deeply in return.

Right now, Laurin is facing one of the toughest challenges of her life. She has developed endometrial cancer for the second time and must once again go through all the treatments. This journey is not only physically and emotionally exhausting, but it also brings a heavy financial burden. Laurin needs help to cover her cost of living—rent, food, and bills—as well as the mounting medical expenses that come with her treatments.
