For over 43 years, Laurie and her husband Larry have built a beautiful life together centered around faith, family, and serving others. They are proud parents of three children and grandparents to six.
Laurie has always been the one helping others. She dedicated many years working with the South Lake Pregnancy Center and First Baptist Church Pregnancy Center, pouring her heart into serving women and families in need. Giving back has always been part of who she is.
On September 4, 2025, Laurie suffered a devastating stroke that changed everything.
She spent two months hospitalized, followed by additional weeks in rehabilitation. Since then, life has looked very different. Laurie is unable to work and the financial strain has grown heavier as medical bills continue to add up. She is still fighting and refusing to give up hope.
One of the biggest needs right now is a specialized Zeen wheelchair mobility device. This device would allow Laurie greater independence and help her work toward walking again. It’s not just a wheelchair, it’s an opportunity for dignity, movement, and hope.
Larry, who has spent years organizing kids’ fishing tournaments and supporting veterans’ events, is now preparing to sell his boat to help cover hospital expenses. A couple who has always put others first is now facing a season where they need support themselves.
We are raising funds to:
• Help purchase Laurie’s specialized mobility device
• Ease overwhelming medical expenses
• Relieve some of the financial pressure while they navigate disability and recovery
If Laurie has ever encouraged you, prayed for you, or made a difference in your life, this is a chance to stand beside her.
Every donation , no matter the size, makes a difference. If you are unable to give, please consider sharing this page and keeping Laurie and her family in your prayers.
Thank you for helping Laurie take steps toward independence again.
