Hello, we are the Hunziker family! Our daughter Lauren is 11 years old and was born with Spina Bifida. She is wheelchair bound which can make mobility a challenge in many different environments. We recently came across an electric folding wheelchair option that would work well for her called the Fold n Go Magshock. This would allow her much more independence and access to other terrain she cannot navigate in her standard wheelchair. This item folds up and would fit in our trunk for easy transport which is not the case for many electric wheelchairs out there. She would be able to access many more outdoor spaces that involve grass, gravel, hills, etc. that she cannot access currently. This would allow her a much greater ability to be able to play and interact with her friends outdoors. As her parents, it is difficult to see her so limited and sometimes left out of things she would love to be able to do, but cannot, simply due to mobility issues.

Unfortunately, we cannot use insurance to purchase this as she will need a new standard wheelchair in the next year. So we have created this fundraiser in hopes that we can raise the money necessary to be able to purchase this out of pocket for her this Summer.
