My sister Lauren is currently in the hospital facing a very serious medical emergency. She is suffering a gastrointestinal bleed, has become dangerously anemic, and has needed multiple blood transfusions, ICU care, and ambulance transfers between hospitals while doctors work to find and stop the bleeding. She is going to be transferred for the second time Monday to another hospital that has the equipment needed for another test in Dallas. They were going to transfer her today but want her to be more stable first.
This has been terrifying for our family. Everything happened very fast, and she is still receiving treatment as we wait for more answers.
She does not have health insurance. She is also a single mother of three daughters and will be missing work while she is hospitalized and recovering. On top of the medical crisis itself, the financial impact is going to be overwhelming. The costs of emergency care, ICU treatment, blood transfusions, ambulance transfers, testing, specialists, and follow-up care are already more than she can handle.
We are asking for help to support her during this crisis. Donations will go toward her hospital and medical bills, recovery expenses, household needs, and helping her care for her three girls while she is unable to work.
If you’re able to give, any amount helps. If you can’t donate, please share this fundraiser. Every prayer, share, and contribution means more than we can say.
Thank you for supporting my sister and her daughters during this incredibly difficult time.
