Support Lauren's Lost Cats

Donation protected
I am Lauren of Lauren’s Lost Cats, a 501(c)(3) Foster? based cat rescue in Havertown Pennsylvania. I have to raise money using my own name because my Rescue is not recognized as a public 501(c)(3) nonprofit. However, in order that all donations, go to Lauren’s Lost Cats, I have set it up for donations to go straight into the account at Franklin Federal credit Union into Lauren’s Lost Cats business account. So no worries, I am making no money, personally. All your donations will be automatically placed into the Rescue’s account. That being said, I’d like to thank everyone who has helped along the way since I began my journey as a rescuer. It’s been a long eight years of which the last three are as a nonprofit. Things change every year since we began, although the one constant is there are always more cats needing help then we can assist.
Last week we were asked to assist with a cat in Overbrook, now known as Delilah. We were told that I find her pulled a dead kitten out of Delilah as she was walking through the neighborhood. Once we had Delilah in our care, it was found that another dead baby was on its way out. After contact with her vet, we proceeded to pull that baby out. That was Saturday night, July 12. At this point, Delilah seemed much better off than she was, she began to eat and drink, and seemed more engaged and alert. It was decided that I would bring Delilah to Philadelphia Animal Hospital on Sunday morning as a walk in. X-rays were taken there. Clearly the x-ray showed that there was yet another baby inside mama Delilah. I was told that she needed emergency Spay immediately and not to wait. We got her into VRC in the nick of time due to a generous anonymous donor who paid the entire bill for Delilah‘s surgery. She was released Monday at 5 PM in Brock back to my home where she has been getting antibiotics, gabapentin, and buprenex. She is eating and drinking and relieving herself and all around doing well, though we are not yet out of the woods. For Delilah’s ongoing care, we are looking to raise another $500-$1000. Not that that wasn’t enough, we also have a one year old male named Archer in our care. Whatever happened to Archer out there on the streets, will never know. At the time he arrived with us, whatever happened to archer left him blind, deaf, with a very unsteady gait. There was no indication why he was blind and deaf, but he had a fracture pelvis apparently whatever trauma he had undergone left him blind and deaf. Luckily for him, he is now seeing and hearing, though were unsure how well. He can urinate and poop on his own, but his gate is very Off-balance. we’re currently looking for a Foster?. They can have him for a couple of weeks to give him a chance to do a little bit more walking then he’s getting in his cage to see if that helps. If not, we’ll be looking into what we can do to help him including surgery if necessary. This can cost upwards of another thousand dollars or more.
we are currently caring for a two-year-old diabetic cat named lavender. This is time consuming and we have ongoing costs associated with lavender due to her need for twice a day insulin injections. She is very sweet, quiet, calm and currently up for adoption. There’s no way the Rescue can continue long-term care of lavender. So we’re hoping someone will come forward to take her home and keep her healthy by continuing her injections. We are committed to lavender and will pay the cost of her insulin and syringes for the first year, maybe beyond, she is with her new family.
We currently have 10 kittens in our care either here at the Rescue or in Foster. Kittens are always precarious because we never know what can happen although we try to intercept illnesses whenever we have the power to do so.
In total, we have +/-40cat/kittens in our care that also need food, litter, beds, toys, meds and vetcare.
we are forever seeking fosters, and volunteers to help out at the rescue. These are two ways in which you can help other than donating monetarily. Unfortunately, money is always an issue printing for sale many cats. We sure are grateful to those of you to donate both time and money. Without you I know there would be a lot of cats that might not exist today. Please help us so that we can make it through the rest of this year. You can donate through Venmo and Cash app at.LLCI2022, PayPal at [email redacted]. Or for you traditional lists, the good old-fashioned way by sending a check money order for Cash to Lauren’s Lost Cats 430 Llanerch Avenue Havertown PA 19083. Check and the money orders should be made out to: Lauren‘s Lost Cats. If you could live in the area and wish to drop an envelope through our mail slot with the donation, feel free to do so. Otherwise donate here through GoFundMe. Thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart and the heart of those volunteers and donors who make this rescue what it is!
